Data Protection Regulations of PRM-Taiwan (Polaris Creative Corp.) As from 26.06.2018

The present data protection regulations make equal reference to both men and women. For the purpose of simplification, only the male form is used.

1. General Information on Data Protection

The Internet portal of PRM-Taiwan is primarily a B2B platform, servicing the needs of people and businesses looking for plastics and rubber processing machinery and matching them with a supplier from Taiwan. Although a great deal of information is also available to anonymous visitors, there is sometimes a need for us to obtain data from you which can be company or even person-related in order to provide you with the desired services. Our systems protect your data in accordance with internationally applicable data protection standards, the data protection directive of the European Union and national data protection regulations. Our goal is to make it possible for you to be certain of responsible and confidential treatment of your data. This means that communication between your browser and our system cannot be read by other participants in the Internet (Unless you specifically wish your data to be sent to the company chosen). Personal data is used exclusively for the purposes explicitly stated in these data protection regulations or during later data collection. Our website may contain links to websites of other providers. As we are not responsible for their information, we recommend that you study the information provided on such sites concerning data protection carefully. Each time content is requested from our Internet site, data (e.g. name of the file requested, date/time, data volume transferred) on this process is stored in a protocol file. In this way, we monitor user conduct throughout the entire website. Nevertheless, the bringing together of this information with data on individual users is only carried out with prior, written consent. PRM-Taiwan classifies the entire use statistics on the basis of the user’s domain name, the browser type and the MIME type by reading out this information from the browser string (the information contained in the browser of every user). We monitor and list the search terms entered in the search engine by users; nevertheless, this tracing is never carried out in connection with individual users.

1.1 Cookies

We also use so-called session cookies. These enable optimisation of communication times for incoming web inquiries. As a fundamental rule, our website can also be used without cookies, however this can result in restrictions with individual applications. Cookies are not used for the preparation of person-related use profiles. We moreover employ cookies with a runtime of 180 days, in order to collect and use anonymous usage data for purposes of launching advertising adds on the basis of online behavioral targeting. No personal data, particularly no IP-address, is gathered in the scope of this procedure. The cookies are provided by a service provider. You are free to delete the cookies anytime either directly within your browser settings (see below). We use cookies to measure success and optimise our advertising measures. It does not include any characteristics (such as full IP address, first and family name, address, e-mail account) by which you can be identified personally. However, the advertising ID does tell us which advertising media drew your attention to us. Under no circumstances will PRM-Taiwan link the advertising ID with personal data. Users who do not want to take part in the conversion tracking can deactivate the cookie via their browser. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. 2. Data protection with special applications

2.1 Membership

When you use our online membership system, we receive from you the data required for processing of the order and performance of the services agreed. Data fields through which the data required for processing of the business transaction is collected, are always marked separately (with an asterisk). If you provide additional, voluntary data, for example on particular specialist interests, we can send you targeted specialist information. This means that, by entering this data, you yourself decide which data we receive from you on you and your company. In addition, we offer you the possibility of correcting or altering the data collected during registration. These changes can be made simply by calling up your user profile, clicking on the edit link and carrying out the alterations to your own data which are then displayed in the form. Users can alter this information at any time and as frequently as necessary.

2.2 Inquiries

We make it possible to send your inquiries to us, so that we can help you to find the plastic or rubber processing manufacturer from Taiwan. Or directly to the chosen manufacturer. This helps you to quickly and easily find the right supplier for your needs. If it’s made in Taiwan, we can find it for you! In this respect, we use a system which records the data entered into our system so that the companies that you choose can get into contact with you as quickly as possible. This data is also used in our e-news database, so that you can keep up to data with all the latest news and offers coming out of Taiwan.

2.3 Electronic Newsletters

We send out Electronic Newsletters to all interested parties, in relation to new products and machinery in the plastic and rubber industry, fair show news and more information related to these industries. For this, we record the e-mail addresses of those users who voluntarily register as subscribers, who give us information at fair shows and who use our inquiry system so that they can be the first to know about all related information. The users can unsubscribe from the service themselves by clicking the link sent out with every newsletter, or by e-mailing us directly.

2.4 Google Applications

2.4.1 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). 2.4.2 Google Re-Marketing

This website uses Google Re-Marketing. Google Re-Marketing is an advertising service delivered by Google Inc. (Google, Mountain View, USA), which enables us to provide you with targeted advertising to meet your supposed interests, based on your usage patterns on previous visits. Such advertising is only presented in Google advertising space - either Google AdWords or the Google Display Network. Users are identified via a cookie in the web browser. The collection, storage and editing of collected data is based on the Google Analytics details and users' IP addresses. Google Re-Marketing does not involve any combination of IP addresses or personal details with any further Google data, especially usage data. Each Re-Marketing cookie continues to be used for 18 months. You may veto Google Re-Marketing or edit your settings on the Google Ads Settings page https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads?hl=en. Alternatively, you can prevent Re-Marketing by disabling cookies in your browser settings. This website uses Google Analytics reports to identify demographic features based on interest-related Google advertising as well as on third-party details of site visitors (e.g. age, gender and interests).

3.4 Purpose of the collection, processing or use of data / legitimate interests pursued by PRM-Taiwan

The purpose of the PRM-Taiwan company is the promotion of economic activity through providing information and matchmaking services, between buyers and suppliers within the plastic and rubber machinery and part processing industries. This includes attending various fair shows each year and meeting prospective buyers in person. Any data processing is either based with the data subject’s consent or on another legal permission as stipulated in Article 6 of the European General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR) and serves the express purposes of the company, in particular the handling of any relevant business processes and for assuring and improving the quality of our events and services. Your personal data will not be passed on to any third parties that are not directly related to the products that you are interested in (Taiwanese manufacturers of the products you are looking for) for advertising purposes. In such cases the data protection terms of the third party shall apply.

3.5 Recipients or categories of recipient to whom the data can be forwarded

• Public bodies given the existence of overriding legal regulations
• Companies within the Polaris Creative Corp Group.
• Customers of PRM-Taiwan (Only if they are related to the product in question) In all cases, the forwarding of data is for fulfilment of the purposes stated under 3.4.

3.6 Normal periods for the barring/deletion of data

As a basic principle any personal data will be erased as soon as it is no longer needed to serve the purposes it has been collected or otherwise processed for. A deletion will moreover be carried out in cases such deletion is required by law and in cases, in which the data subject has revoked its consent to the processing of its personal data or has objected to such processing. This does not apply, if and as far as (despite of any revocation or objection) yet another legal basis or other overriding grounds are on hand authorizing PRM-Taiwan not to erase said personal data. This may for example be the case, in cases in which legal periods of time for safeguarding apply.

3.7 Right of information

Each data subject has the right to obtain from PRM-Taiwan a confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning her / him is being processed by PRM-Taiwan. If such data processing is being carried out, the data subject has the right to be granted access to her / his personal data processed by PRM-Taiwan. Moreover she / he has the right to have such personal data rectified, erased, restricted in processing, to object to processing as well as to data portability.

3.8 Right of appeal

Each data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
